The incident triggered panic among students and staff. Authorities confirmed that all affected students are safe and receiving medical treatment. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) commander AK Chauhan said, “As of now, I cannot tell the exact cause.” He added that their team assessed the situation but found everything normal, without any trace of gas or leakage from the AC units. Parents expressed frustration with the school’s handling of the situation, accusing administrators of failing to provide clear information. One parent shared, “The school administration is not providing clear information. My child is still under hospital observation. She had throat irritation for the past three days, which we thought was minor, but today they admitted her.” Local police are investigating the source of the leak and are monitoring the situation to prevent further risks. Forensic experts and officials from the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) are also on-site to assess the area.
